In recent years, the Camelback Tower office had tremendous response with donations for campaigns for water for the homeless, food and supplies for needy animals, a clothing drive for those entering the workforce, and our toy collection for the holidays for disadvantaged children is always overwhelmingly successful. Our goals for our participation for future campaigns will include more "hands-on" giving of time and talent to those in need of our help.
The Carefree office hopes to be involved in philanthropy that has personal meaning to our colleagues. We recently hosted an event to benefit the Arizona Chapter of the ALS Association, a much loved cause that is near and dear to many of our fellow agents. For this summer we are focusing our attention on St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance in partnership with Dysart Community Center in hopes of providing summer meals and supplies for local children. We strive to have an open dialogue with our Carefree agents and entertain a diverse group of worthy organizations.
With a focus on outdoor enthusiasm, our branch has adopted the local organization “The Desperados at Desert Mountain”. VCorps event include trail clean up and fundraisers supporting this fine organization.
Here in Flagstaff, the people are all about "giving back". That is why the Flagstaff V-Corp is involved in the community in several different aspects. We clean a section of the Flagstaff Urban Trail System (FUTS) on a regular basis. In the past year we have been involved in a variety of major projects. We manned a station along the route of the Taylor House Ride, giving out much needed refreshments and even a little first aid, and had riders collecting donations on a per-mile basis. We also volunteered as a group at the Flagstaff Family Food Center to serve a hot meal to those in need. The last event that we had was an "Iron Chef" competition. We raised over $500.00 for the food bank and several cases of non-perishable food.
Stay tuned as we have a couple of interesting events coming for the next quarters!
In the Pinnacle Peak office we are passionate about supporting our community and our agents are always eager to get involved. Our first quarter drive to support the Fetch Foundation was a overwhelming success, and our Dos de Mayo celebrations and auctions inspired us to come together in support of Rancho Feliz. We have another exciting event planned for our third quarter called Pins for Paws. What makes this office so special is everyone's heart. Our Agent's have an enormous amount of love for what we do and living in a Home surrounded by a community we love is just the icing on the cake!
In Sedona, we participate in trail clean up, assisting the local homeless alliance, working to assist our local seniors or anyone unable to maintain their yards, we are also planning on working with the Verde Valley Senior center who also works with Meals on Wheels and of course fund raising for Rancho Feliz.
Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty's South East Valley office is dedicated to giving back to the local community through a combination of hands-on volunteering and donation drives for a variety of charities. Recent fundraising efforts led to donating supplies to The Fetch Foundation to help build and deliver Fido Bags so first responders are better prepared to help our four-legged friends when in crisis. Our next office volunteering event will be focused on literacy with UMOM's Read To Me Program. If these causes are near and dear to your heart too, we would love for you to join us
In the West Valley Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty office, we enjoy participating in our community through volunteer events such as fundraising for various charitable organizations and organizing food drives. Some of the many charities we have supported in the past comprise of St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, Autism Speaks, Habitat for Humanity, Southwest Autism Resource and Research Center, Little Libraries, Salvation Army, and Homeward Bound Charity. As agents of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty we hold value in giving back to the community that gives us so much.
We engage in a variety of donation based programs such as:
Donating money from Festival of the Arts parking to youth scholarships in our local School district. This year in March we donated over $8000 towards this cause.
We also donate funds to the Fire Department Explorer program. This year we donated $2500.
We bought 600 meals for the homeless through the Nogales Cross Roads Mission.
One of our agents also donates time at the VA with her service dog
One of our other agents does a golf tournament each year and donates all the proceeds to local charities
We donated $800 to Rich River Athletics for our local kids who run track to sponsor health based initiatives in the community.
A group I am a director of an organization who just leased some old buildings in Nogales which are now establishing a Children's Museum in Nogales so our kids don't have to travel to Tucson for these activities.
coming soon: prescott
Our family of agents and staff in the Tucson office of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty really enjoy supporting our local charities through donation drives. Some of the local charities that we have sponsored in the past and will continue to throughout the year, are the Tucson Assistance League’s “Operation School Bell” which encourages regular school attendance and improves self-esteem, the Community Food Bank which seeks to restore dignity, health, opportunity and hope to people living in poverty, and Casa de los Niños whose mission is to promote child well-being and family stability in our community. We hope the support we can provide to these local charities makes a difference!
In the Corporate Office, we represent many different charities and local interests, from doing a food drive for the Paradise Valley Food Bank, a water drive for VA/Terros Healthy, and most recently a snack drive for the Homeward Bound Charity. It’s important to give back, give a hand up, and engage as many people as we can, as an employee of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.
